How to Write Stunning Blog Posts That Will Drive Massive Traffic to Your Website

With over 160 million blogs on the internet today, the need to write beautiful blog posts that engage your target market and drive massive website traffic has never been more demanding. WHY?

Because every blogger wants to stand out as the best, so, to achieve that, you need to write epic blog posts frequently.

Interestingly, many bloggers have achieved that by creating incredible blog content that stands out from the crowd consistently, there-by walking tall as experts and influencers in their respective fields.

The blog they create has helped them establish a consistent brand message across marketing channels.

The question is;

How can you write blog posts that will engage your readers and drive massive traffic to your website?

In this post, you will learn the best tips that will aid you to regularly create fascinating blog posts that drive tons of traffic to your blog or website.

1: Write Informative Blog Content

The idea of writing useful content is to ensure that you are educating your audience and adding value to their lives. That is primarily the reason you set-up a blog in the first place. It is interesting to know that your audience is always searching for answers or information about a problem.

Be the solution by offering informative content that will enable them to take care of the problem. That’s why I will always love this quote:

“People don’t care about your business, they only care about their problems. Be the solution that they’re searching for.” – Melonie Dodaro

Here’s what Darren Rowse, the brain behind Problogger said about writing useful blog posts:

“Unless a blog post is useful and informative on some level, I don’t think it’s worth publishing.” -Darren Rowse

With that said, try to figure out how valuable your content will be to your readership. Thus, before creating content, take time to ponder over such questions as:

  • How relevant is my blog content?
  • Will my target audience find it interesting?
  • Will my post educate my readers and add value to their lives?

These and many such questions will put you in a better position to write targeted blog posts that drive massive traffic.

2: Write Blogs in Your Unique Voice

Research has revealed that on WordPress alone, 17 posts get published every second, 1020 posts released every minute, and 1,468,800 posts published each day.

As a result, it is easier for your content to disappear in the noise, which is why it is vital that you write in a unique voice, as it will help you stand out from the crowd.

We have examples of top bloggers who have made a name for themselves through their respective unique voice or style of writing. Some fantastic cases are Mike SchiemerMike AllonDonna Merrill, Virginia Bautista, Lisa Sicard, Ryan Biddulph, Rebekah Radice, Lorraine Reguly, Neal Schaffer, Adam Connell, Janice Wald, to mention a few.

These experts have successfully set themselves apart from the crowd by their exceptional way of writing–their unique voice, and if you follow their footsteps, you will create blog content that drives massive traffic to your website.

How can I write in a unique voice?

To write in an extraordinary voice, learn from the examples of bloggers who have been there before you and wrote what comes naturally to you. Choose a niche topic you’re fun of and have a passion for, as it will help you bring out the juices in you.

But please, when choosing a topic you’re passionate about, try to keep a balance between passion and profitability. It is vital because your love for a niche will not pay the bills.

Hence, identify those niches you are passionate about and figure out how profitable they are before deciding on a field of blogging.

3: Be Practical When Creating Blog Content

The concept of making your content practical is to aid your readers to take action–to help them put to practice the information they’re getting from your blog. Write your blog post in ways that your readers and prospective customers can easily apply it to themselves and get positive results.

In this way, your readers will trust you as an expert in your field. Consequently, be sure to create quality and actionable blog content.

Here is a tip to help you; study your ideal reader to pinpoint the issues they’re trying to solve. Then create blog content around the problems they have. For example, I read a post on Janice Wald’s website, titled, “4 Reasons You Are in Danger of Losing Organic Search Traffic.”

I also read the comments and found that one commenter asked Janice if she could write an article on “how to recover your lost traffic.” See screenshot.

How to Write Stunning Blog Posts That’ll Drive Tons of Traffic to Your Website

Understandably, it is a pain problem you must address. Given this, if you write your blog posts around that reader’s question, it will get you more traction-social shares, and increase website traffic fast.

4: Craft Powerful Headline

I’ve written well enough articles about writing catchy headlines for your blog posts. It is essential because an irresistible headline is a surefire way to attract clicks and drive traffic. Great headlines urge readers and move them to click-through to your website.

Statistics by Copyblogger shows that on average, “80% of blog visitors will read your headline, but only 20% of them will read the rest of your article.” In other words, while everybody might see your headline, not all of them will click to read your post.

Further studies revealed that an irresistible headline could generate as much as 500℅ more page views. With that said, spend a reasonable amount of time crafting the best headline that will attract readers to your blog.

You can use the CoSchedule Headline Analyzer tool to help you write the best headlines.

5: Create a Compelling Intro

Just as a remarkable headline is a surefire way to get more readers for your blog content, a compelling intro is equally important because it gives your readers heads-up to continue reading. For this reason, Simonnff said;

The first sentence of your book is to convince readers that they must read the second – Simonoff Xuan

In other words, let your blog intro convince your readers to read the first paragraph, the second, third, and the entire article. To that end, you will love the quote below:

I am drawn to any story that makes me want to read from one sentence to the next. I have no other criterion. – Jhumpa Lahiri

This step involves clear thinking on your part. If your headline, for instance, is a promise-driven or benefit-driven headline, let your intro follow in like manner. Due to this, your readers will want to digest the whole article to get the benefits, which will result in more engagement and more traffic.

6: Write to A Particular Audience

Outstanding blog content will gain the highest traction when tailored to the needs of a specific audience. Let us assume for example, that you already know your target audience–their wants and needs.

As you create your blog post, you channel your content to the needs of that particular audience.

What do you think will happen when you use the right keywords in your content? You will be driving endless website traffic because your content addresses your ideal reader.

On this account, before you start writing your blog post, try to find out who your readers are. Identifying your ideal reader will give you information about his.struggles, the type of content they love to read, and so forth. In that way, you will write blog content to engage your target audience and attract more readers to your blog.

Several tools can help you get the facts about your buyer persona. Use Survey AnyPlace or Survey Monkey. These tools will enable you to create survey questions that will help you get feedback from your audience. The data will assist you in writing blog content that addresses the needs of the segment of your audience.

How to Write Blog Posts That Will Drive Massive Website Traffic

Wrapping Up

It is sometimes difficult to write a unique blog post that will stand out from the crowd and drive massive traffic. But with practice and consistency, you can work your way up as an expert and create terrific content that drives tons of website traffic.

However, how you will achieve this kind of success over time may be slightly different because every blogger has his style of writing.

Nevertheless, if you correctly apply these basic blogging principles, you will be able to consistently create compelling blog posts that will drive massive traffic to your website.

Hi Moss,

This is an awesome guide, I would love to apply all these techniques on my blog post.

I think nowadays using a short paragraph have a better approach to engage more reader to blog post because due to use of technology Human span of time of focusing on one thing decreases.

According to Microsoft, The Human span of time is 8 second and they cannot concentrate more than 8 seconds.

Btw Thanks for this awesome guide.

Your blog is as good as a dead one when it receives no traffic.

Don’t you think so?

    Moss Clement · January 28, 2018 at 8:38 am

    Hi Gaurav,
Certainly correct. You are absolutely right, and I agree with you. No matter how irresistible your posts are, when you are not getting any traffic, it is more like a dead post.
For this reason, it is important to try the best you can to create compelling content that will drive massive traffic to your website.

Jarvee · January 24, 2018 at 2:01 pm

These are some good tips Moss, thank you!

It’s very important to know who your audience is for a specific topic. It’s impossible to write for everybody.

Also, you have to know where you audience is online so that you know when and where you should serve them your content.

    Moss Clement · January 24, 2018 at 6:01 pm

    Hi Jarvee,

I totally agree with you on this because, being able to identify your audience and their geo-location will help you create content that not only resonates with them – in terms of the issues they have, but also helps you figure out the best times to publish where they’re sure to read your article.

Thanks so much for coming by. Well appreciated!

Max Greene · January 22, 2018 at 10:53 am

Great post, Moss! I definitely think that finding a unique voice is up there as one of the biggest standouts. In the marketing niche especially, every topic has been covered a million times before, but if you can find a new way to tell the story and resonate with an audience, then you’ll find success. Keep it up!

    Moss Clement · January 23, 2018 at 10:13 pm

    Hi Max,
I agree with you. A blogging friend once said to me, that what we do or at doing as bloggers and content creators is simply recreating what has already been created. However, to it attention grabbing and outstanding is to create your own version of the story. That’s where writing in a unique voice comes to play.

    Thanks for your insight.

Amar Singh · January 19, 2018 at 6:48 am

Jane · January 18, 2018 at 10:24 am

Hey Moss,

That’s an awesome article. Couldn’t help but agree with everything you have shared here.

Without being useful, a content will not gain attention because as you say, people are not very concerned about what your business is. Rather they are concerned about their problems!

When your content solves their problems, you are most likely to be noticed!

And yes, blogging in your own voice is very crucial. I always say this – it is easy to be unique when you blog like yourself, because there is only one “you” in the whole universe 🙂

Thanks for the awesome article and thanks for the mention too!

    Moss Clement · January 18, 2018 at 9:41 pm

    Hi Jane,
I’m happy you like the article and agree with the tips shared in this post.
Certainly, people are searching the web very now and then looking for solutions to their problems, when you become or give them the solution try they’re looking for, then you’ll have success.

This also calls for you to present the solution in a unique way – your voice.

Thanks for commenting Jane. Well appreciated!

Thanks for the mention, Moss, along with everyone in your list.

Your tips are very useful, especially to those who are just starting to blog. You’re right — all of those factors are critical to blogging success, particularly the headline and having a unique voice.

At the end of the day, though, if we know our purpose for blogging, if we are clear with why we write what we write — that clarity will lead us to the success we’re looking for.

Happy blogging! Thanks so much!
