Every site owner should take care of crawl budget without ignoring a single point.
We want search engine to understand our pages as soon as possible because it is beneficial for us.

Firstly, It is crucial to let engine knows about our pages to crawl and index it otherwise no visitors would be able to visit our pages.

Wasting crawl budget might hurt SEO performance.

There are many factors that may affect our page and not be indexed.

Hello Gentlemen,

How are you both doing? A lovely read from Joel. Have you come across Rank Math at all? It is a plugin I have started using on mine and all of my clients’ sites over Yoast. Basically it does all that you have talked about here and more.

One of my fave features is the 404 monitor and Redirection Tool that scans your site for broken links and easily allows you to redirect it to any page you like, so it stops visitors from hitting your 404 pages, which can only be a good thing. That, as well as an Internal Site Audit and Connected Webmaster Tools, makes it an awesome plugin.

Oh, and before I forget, it also has a robots.txt edit section. I have written a review on it if you both care to check it out, as I would love your thoughts on it.

BTW did you know that Google Search Console now has the change of address tool installed on the new-look version now?

great tips here. While I think that crawl efficiency is more important for larger websites versus smaller ones, I still think it pays to think about craw ability from the start.

One nice trick I like to do is have an HTML sitemap and placed in the menu too. This ensures that each post links to it, and the map contains links to most important posts + all categories and tags. Then Google knows which post are super important , but also everything else is accessible through one link hop only.
