How to make Google index your backlinks faster

Do you want to know why your Backlinks are not getting indexed? Are you wondering what you can do to make Google index your backlinks faster? If Google does not index your backlinks, it means that they are not functioning. Thus, you need to get your backlinks indexed in Google.

However, there are many factors and reasons why your backlinks are not indexed, and there are several ways to index your backlinks.

Let’s say you build a bunch of backlinks sweating and spending your time, money and energy. But at the end, it doesn’t get indexed in Google; all your work and effort becomes a waste.

Well then, that is the reason why in today’s article, I am going to share with you some of the best tips and tricks that will make Google index backlinks on your site faster.

But first, let’s discuss some general points.

If you are not very sure whether your links are indexed or not, follow these steps to find out:

  • Go to Google.com
  • Paste the links you want to check into Google search box and hit the search button

If the URL doesn’t appear in the search results, then probably the linking page is not indexed yet.

Why is Website Indexing Backlinks Important?

To let Google spider crawl your web pages and index your backlinks is vital because it will make your site to show up on search results. And this aspect should not be a one-time thing but a regular process since Google depends on spiders to crawl your site for any new updates.

What search engine spiders do is to find new content (new web pages, new website, or updated pages) and update them with the current version.

Thus, when Google crawls and indexes your backlinks, it is effectively saying your content is good, welcome. As a result, your blog will show up on searches. So, it means that without indexing your backlinks, you will not appear on search engine results page (SERP).

Why are my backlinks not indexed in Google?

Well, there are many answers to that question, and here are some reasons why Google does not index your backlinks.

1: Your Backlinks are Not Worthy of Indexing

Do you think that Google will Index spammy links that you built on a spammy platform in which Google has raised a red flag? Google does typically not index low-quality backlinks that don’t provide any value to users. So the solution to this problem is to build high-quality, value-worthy indexing backlinks.

2: Your Content is Very Thin and Plagiarised

Plagiarized content is another reason for not getting your backlinks Indexed by Google. Google hates plagiaristic content, and for this reason, make sure your content is 100% unique and free of plagiarised materials.

Furthermore, it may be that your blog content is too thin and without value to the reader. If this is the case, ensure that your post is of high-quality and the word count is at least 1,000+-words, since research has proven that long-form blog posts perform better on search engine results page (SERP).

Fun fact — an article with more than 2000 words performs better on Google search results and improves search ranking. That is according to a study by SerpIQ.

3: You Are Creating Backlinks from Sites With No-Index Tag

If your backlink is coming from a site with the no-index tag, then you are screwed unless you contact the webmaster and convince them to remove the no-index tag from the page or website; however, it is a rare case scenario. Who wouldn’t want to get his blog or web page indexed and show up in search engine results page?

These are a few of the main factors why Google does not index your website and backlinks. As a result,  let us move on to the remedies section on how to get Google to index your backlinks.

How to Make Google Index Your Backlinks Faster

Here are six powerful — yet simple and effective hacks that will help you get your backlinks indexed fast.

Related Post: How to Start Segmenting Your Website Traffic the Right Way

1: Have Patience – Wait on Google to Crawl and Index Your Backlinks

What I mean by the above statement of “Wait and have Patience” is for you to let it happen naturally. Naturally in the sense that Google will index your backlinks by all means over time if it is worth indexing. It is a gradual process that takes around five days to one week to get your backlinks indexed in Google.

Despite that, sometimes it may take longer than that. So, be patient and wait on Google to crawl your site and index your backlinks in a natural state.

2: Submit Your URLs to Google Search Console (Google Webmaster Tool)

This step is the best option to get your backlinks indexed faster in Google. It consists of only three simple steps.

  1. Go to Google Webmaster Tool
  2. Enter the Url of the page
  3. Next answer or solve the captcha and click the “Submit Request” button.

That’s it, and it’s that simple. You can submit up to 500 URLs per week. It is a faster way to make Google index your backlinks

3: Ping Your URLs Via Backlink Indexer Tools

If Submitting to Google webmaster tool doesn’t work, don’t stress out because there are other ways to get the job done. Hence, your next step, in this case, is to ping your URLs.

Pinging is telling Google about your new blog content or sending a notification that there is an update already on your blog or website, and Google needs to send bot/spider to re-crawl the site and update it to the latest information.

*IMPORTANT* Don’t over ping your URLs because it’s not going to increase your index rate.

For example, if you ask your friend the same question repeatedly, over and over again, what happens is that he will get annoyed by you. The same condition applies here. The tools pretty much perform the same function. So pick one, and it will do.

Still on Using Backlinks Indexer to Get Google to Index Your Backlinks Faster

As mentioned earlier, if for some reason your backlinks are not yet indexed after a reasonable time has elapsed, then you must use “backlink indexer,” because Google would index any regular link after a logical amount of time.

As such, the solution here is to use Backlinks Indexer to move Google to action. There are many links Indexers on the market, but I recommend Backlinks Indexer because they provide 100% index rate.

Some of the services they offer are:

  • They will ping each link
  • Submit your links to many authority blogs
  • Provide social signals
  • Build web 2.0 links
  • Create permanent backlinks

Here is a detailed guide from Neil Hosting on Backlinks Indexer

Notwithstanding, other powerful backlink indexer tools are:

4: Share Your Links on Social Media to Improve The Odds of Getting Indexed

This stage does more to boost your backlinks indexing possibilities. It is one of the best ways to index your backlinks quicker. Accordingly, create a social buzz to attract other users attention, and people will be excited about what the big deal is about and are going to flock around it.

Therefore, share website links to get social link juices. It will not only help you get better index rate, but social proof also brings brand trustworthiness and credibility.

Notwithstanding, if you are wondering how you can share all your links, it’s possible and straightforward. But if you think you cannot do it alone, hire a freelancer to help you streamline the process, or buy social shares from sites like SEO Butler, SEO Clerk, Fivver, etc.

5: Build Relevance Links on Authority Sites

To make Google index your backlinks faster, you have to make it a point to build links on relevant high DA websites. This move will signal Google that the backlinks are genuine and valid. However, you have to be mindful of how you create links.

You need to position your backlinks strategically on your post and not make a random placement. Most important is to place links on top-notch blog content that will attract backlinks from other authority sites.

How to find relevant authority websites for backlink purposes

Put simply, evaluate your competitors to figure out where they are picking up backlinks and reach out to them. Use competitor research tools for competitive intelligence to monitor your competition and acquire useful data for your campaign.

6: Web 2.0s

You need not do this step if you use the Backlinks Indexer services. However, apply this step if none of the above techniques works. But I doubt that the links might be already indexed by now. Nonetheless, there are many free blogging sites you can use to make your backlinks indexed in Google, such as:

  • Blogger
  • Wix
  • Tumblr
  • Weebly
  • WordPress.com, etc.

Here is what to do.

Go to each of these sites and create an account. They are free. Next, write an article of around 800 to1500-words and post on each site. Spread the backlinks on each of the posts. I would recommend around 8-10 links on each post.

That is the reason why I told you to make your article 800-1500 words long because you can input as many links as possible. Even so, if you slap ten backlinks on a 300-word blog post, Google will see it as spam. Thus, your article must be long enough to host about eight links.

Still, make sure that the articles are free of plagiarism. I guarantee you, if you follow and apply these steps correctly, your backlinks will surely get indexed.

7: Submit Your Sitemap to GSC

Your blog’s sitemap is a record consisting of all the pages on your website. This database (sitemap) will let Google know when there are new updates on your blog or web. For instance, when you create a new blog post, update existing content, sitemap tells Google that something new is on your site and how regular to crawl your site.

In other words, a sitemap assists Google to crawl and index your blog posts and improve its chances to rank higher on search results. That is per the Google Webmaster Blog.

Therefore, to make it work, you need to submit your sitemap to Google search console (GSC), not one time, but at least once every month.

Here is how to submit your sitemap:

  • Sign in to Google search console
  • Choose your website
  • From the left sidebar, click on Sitemap
  • Click on the “Add/Test Sitemap” tab to submit your sitemap URL
  • Then, click submit

Here is a detailed post by Harsh Agrawal on how to submit Sitemap to Google search console (GSC).

Wrapping Up

There you go, seven steps that will help you index your backlinks faster. But if you do not want to go through all that headache, the simple solution is to build quality links from other blogs in your niche and industry. Better still, get your links indexed using any of the backlink indexer tools above.

How have you been able to get Google to index your backlinks? Your comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated. And if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask and leave them below.

You absolutely need to go at least kinda beefy on the content Priya. Folks expect to get their blogs indexed with thin or weak blog posts which is insane. Google rewards value. So serve it up. At least 600 words of practical, usable content, if you want to make a genuine impact.

Although thin content is relative for some niches
and can answer the user’s question, but most of the time that is not the case.

Hi Priya, thanks for the info here. I really liked your advice to have patience. I think that is the name of the game today!
Of course keep on writing and linking out and it will come back to you in time.
Would you disavow those links that are not related to your site?

Ummm…iam not really 100% expert in this. But If it is not necessarily coming from spammy sites which have been already red flagged by google I wouldn’t recommend disavowing it.
It’s just that incoming links from the same niche instead of irrelevant sites add more weightage to your PR.

Hi Priya,

Great tips, indeed.

There is something I so much believe in when it comes to general SEO. Since Google indexing is a part of the search engine optimization process; so I think I should mention it. It’s “building relationships” with other bloggers.

If I’m genuinely happy with a fellow blogger’s content because it helped me, I’d love to mention it in my content whenever possible. Not only it helps the audience, but it also takes the relationship to the next level.

Even though social share doesn’t count as a direct ranking factor in Google, it does have an indirect effect on ranking a page.
Traffic, bounce rate are a direct ranking factor in Google, so if you got enough social shares, Chances are there are gonna be some referral traffic and if your content is engaging and helpful. They are gonna read it and in turn, it will reduce the Bounce rate. So it does have an indirect effect on it
I think Bing Uses Social share as a direct ranking factor. Make Your SEO optimized not only for Google but also for bing and other search engines

Whereas the indexing is concerned, I had never faced such issue. And as you have already mentioned creating links from quality sites should be the priority… Ethical SEO is the way to go.

Is there a reason why backlinks would not be showing up in a backlink checker even after those links have been on blogs and major social media sites for more than 7 days? The a blog need to have an established age or amount of total content?

I’m a big fan of high quality content myself, which is one of the listed requirements for a high ranking site. However, I find (especially in 2019) that there are many sites on the first page of the search results that have low quality, short content. Many of which have no option to comment and discuss what was written. Often times I shake my head and feel as if Google has no idea what I was actually searching for. Any reason why low quality content would rank so high? I guess it’s traffic and keyword related.

    Avatar

    Moss Clement · July 11, 2019 at 12:09 pm

    Hi David,

You are not alone in this, as many marketers are complaining about the same thing. In fact, a friend recently wrote a blog that you cannot rank for on page one of Google no matter how you use keywords. I get his point only after reading the entire article. The point is that low-quality blogs can rank higher based on some factors; which could be anything from quality backlinks to the post, keyword phrase, and so forth. For example, Some time ago, I found my post ranking higher on Google page one (at number three precisely) ahead of SEO guru Brian Dean at number four position. I couldn’t believe it. However, The only thing I did in the post was that I used LSI keywords strategically throughout the article. It was a 1,500-word article with over 15 related keywords. I wasn’t keyword stuffing since the phrases appear naturally.
Thus, I ranked that post for relevant keywords and not my target keyword. Honestly, when I searched for my seed keyword, it didn’t even appear anywhere. Therefore, ranking your blog post depends on several factors. You can also reach out to others who have similar reference articles to link to your post. And once you have a considerable number of links to that post, Google will immediately conclude that the content is a quality post and take it to the top of page one.
