2• Hook Them Right Off The Bat

After identifying your readership, try to hook them right from the intro. What am I saying? No matter how great your blog post is, if your introduction or the first few lines are not engaging, people are eventually going leave — increasing your bounce rates.

Do you think people will read your post if it is boring and less engaging? Not exactly! So, hook them off the bat with an irresistible intro. Make it short and sweet. There are many ways to do this. Using questions at the start is a fantastic way to grab visitors’ attention.

Subheadings are a crucial element that will keep your readers engaged and easy to follow. Subtitles are so powerful they can undermine your blogging effort if not used correctly. Subtitles work more like a headline, but you can use them to break your article and make it scannable.

For instance, you could bury the answer you provide your audience on a long page. But your site user only spends around a minute maximum on your page, scanning it. 5• Write Article for Your Blog In a Personal Tone

I would recommend not to use a professional or formal tone in your blog posts. It doesn’t matter how many people are reading your article. But generally, each one of them will get access to your content as an individual.

So, replace the words “we” and “they” with “you” and “I” to bring a more personal tone to your writing. It will make your blog posts more engaging. Your ideal reader will feel as if you are speaking to him. It is more like you are writing this article specifically just for him/her.

Use phrases such as:

  • Envision that you are in Hawaii
  • What if you are in Hawaii now?
  • The cool breeze swaying on your face
  • The beautiful sunset, etc.

Speak to a feeling that is already there, and not trying to force it on your reader. That is the power of mirror neurons and how they affect the human mind. This method will aid you on how to write an article that connects with your readers.

7• Use Graphic Elements to Make Your Articles Engaging

We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words, so use more visual or graphics in your blog content. For example, visuals content accounts for 90% of information transmitted to the brain.

We all love pictures, don’t you? I do! I recently visited a friend’s blog to read her latest article. But then I saw that the post has an infographic as well. I ended up focusing on the infographic than the actual text content.

I can’t see any impractical points here. You can write an engaging content only when you feel it and replace yourself as a reader.

In a world with many options for almost everything, you can’t force your reader to stick onto your article. There are many other better contents available.

Exactly, producing quality contents on a regular basic is extremely difficult, and it’s even much more difficult to make the contents engage with the target readers.

As a none native writer, It’s the kind of troublesome situation when speaking of the challenges.

You cannot write a content that engage a reader unless you know who is going to read the article.

Clarify the CAP (context, audience, purpose) is an necessary for producing the right content for the right people.

With the CAP, it helps identify the tone, style, and where to begin or end.

According to the UX research, over 60% of the web readers read the headline of the webpage that is why should account for section of the content.

The visual content is a key of increasing conversion, but also it comprises of the drawback as well.

    8 out of 10 people will read the headline and only 2 out of 10 will read the article
    So hooking them with your headline is very necessary

I would like to add that bloggers add legible fonts (like the ones that were used in this post) to their blog post. Some of them have made the error of using fonts that are way to small.

If people cannot see a blogger’s well-written content, they will not engage with them.
