Have you considered how to gain followers on Twitter or how to get twitter followers using tweet evaluation? It is an excellent idea to evaluate your tweets often to decide what content interest your followers most. If your followers engage most with tweets about your brand or company, keep tweeting those.
On the other hand, if your buyer persona engages most with tweets about inspiration and motivation, continue tweeting more of those.
The point is to find what your target audience needs from you. In this light, the best way to go about it is to tweet a mix of useful content about your niche with a blend of motivational and inspirational content. Then use Twitter analytics or other analytic tools to calculate your performance to find the best-performing tweets.
Once you’re able to identify posts that keep your target market engaged, ensure to continue tweeting those. Your audience will engage and assist you in getting more followers on Twitter.
5: Tweet At The Right Time to Boost Content Visibility and Maximize How to Gain Twitter Followers
Consistency, as mentioned in section 3, doesn’t mean tweeting randomly. You have to share valuable content and figure out the best times to tweet when your target audience will see and engage with your tweets.
From my experience, tweeting from 7:00 to 8:00 am before 9:00 am when many Twitter users who have a 9 to 5 work schedule have not gone to work is ideal. I also tweet from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, depending on your time zone when some users are on lunch break. Many Twitter users use their lunch period to check out what’s happening on Twitter.
At this time there is a high chance they may see your tweets, engage, and the result is, you get more Twitter followers. However, a study by Buffer shows the best times to tweet for massive engagement, likes, and retweets.
Therefore, depending on your geo-location, try to pinpoint when it is best for you to tweet for increased traction that will aid your objective to gain followers on Twitter. Being consistent and tweeting at the right time will increase your chances of being followed.

6: Retweet & Follow Other Users
You may be wondering how retweeting and following other users aligns with how to get more followers on Twitter. It is an excellent practice to follow other users and retweet them as well since this practice will attract more Tweeps and help you get Twitter followers free and fast.
For this reason, search for your target audience, retweet, and follow them.
How can you identify your target audience?
To get twitter followers free, organically via retweets and following other users, you need to use the Twitter analytics free tool to analyze your target market to know who to engage with and support. Use Twitter’s advanced search to search for and follow your target audience.
It is clear that not all of them will follow you back; however, a good chunk of them will reciprocate and return the favor. Twitter allowed users to follow-up to a thousand (1000) followers each day. However, there’s been some recent changes on Twitter follow limit for each day.
Follow, unfollow, follow, unfollow. Who does that? Spammers. So we’re changing the number of accounts you can follow each day from 1,000 to 400. Don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.
— Twitter Safety (@TwitterSafety) April 8, 2019
Instead of following 1000 users each day, Twitter now allows users to follow 400 followers each day. But I won’t recommend that. I recommend you follow between 100 ~200 users each day. Search for heavy-weights in your niche (those with thousands or millions of followers) and engage with them by retweeting their tweets, mention and follow them.
Add them to your list and engage with them in whatever way possible. They may reciprocate by retweeting your tweet and follow you. And guess what, once they retweet your tweet, you become visible to millions of potential followers who might end up following you.
Twitter’s advanced search will not give you all the options available, so I’ll recommend Manage Flitter. You could use Manage Flitter to search and follow your target audience. Manage Flitter can identify a targeted audience, track them, and at the same time keep up Twitter’s terms of service.
Other tools you can use in this regard are:
- SocialOomph, etc.
There are loads of other tools you can use to get more followers on Twitter. Further, the tools mentioned above are capable of cleaning your profile for a healthier account. However, we will discuss the Twitter cleaning processes in our next post.
7: Follow Followers to Get More Twitter Followers
This step means that you should follow your competitor’s followers. Granted, Will following other users’ audience help you address how to get more followers on Twitter? Yes, it will.
Why should you follow your competitors’ followers?
Put simply, your competitors’ followers are already qualified as your potential target audience because they have the same interest and are in the same niche market as you. Accordingly, following them gives you an added advantage in that they are more likely to return the favor, seeing that you share the same interest with them.
8: Use Trending Topics to Get More Followers On Twitter
Another excellent tip for how to get Twitter followers is to make the most of trending topics. Find what’s trending in your industry and take advantage of it. Use Twitter chats to engage your target audience on issues that interest them most. Contribute meaningfully to the discussions.
In that way, you will put yourself in front of millions of potential followers.
Will the use of hashtags and keywords better address how to get more followers on Twitter? Indeed, because these tools will make your tweets visible to a broader audience. Hashtags and keywords will help users to find your tweets easily. Why? Because hashtags and keywords boost your visibility.
These tools will make your tweets stand out from the rest and effectively make you visible to millions of other Twitter users who are searching for the keywords and using related hashtags. Hence, these potential followers may end up following you.
But be mindful not to over-use hashtags as you Twitter might view you as a spammer. Thus, to avoid that, try to maintain a maximum of 3 or 4 hashtags pair tweet. It is a great idea even more now that Twitter has extended its mini-blogging space from 140 to 280 characters. So leverage it.

10: Use Call-to-Action
I have written a couple of articles where I highlighted the need to use calls-to-action to boost CTR and how to optimize your CTA to increase conversation rates.
Call-to-action is an effective way to grow your Twitter followers because it tells users what you want them to do. When you tell those in your niche to follow you, they get a look at your profile to find out if you’re worthy of being followed.
And if they find you as a follow-worthy person or brand, they certainly will follow you. You could use phrases such as:
- Please follow my Twitter account
- Follow me on Twitter, etc.
This strategy works pretty well.
